Great product and exceptional service

The Club itself is solidly built. Knurling on the handle is just right. The overall shape is spot on. Great value

Adaptable Club Review

I've been into weightlifting and fitness for over a decade, but only recently got into steel clubs and maces. I'd been using some fixed clubs at my gym, and decided I wanted an adjustable club for using at home.

After a lot of research, I went with House of Hercules. No other company offered the combination of knurling, a good sized pommel, and the ability to use olympic plates. This allows access to a cheap source of weights, without being locked into an ecosystem, or slow weight changing via threaded rod. I really like how fast it is to change weights, especially since I use a Rogue USA quick release collar, which grips tightly enough to allow usage of 1 collar instead of 2 (this also increases loading space)

I'm also a big fan of the gritty powedercoat and knurling, they're both great at preventing slippage. This is even better than any of the fixed clubs I've used. I use the 2.5lb CAP weight plates from amazon; they were cheap ($20 for 15lbs) and work fine. I can fit 40lbs on the club with room to spare, but don't need that much weight yet. I typically use 20lbs for single arm shield casts, and I'm progressing nicely there.

Shipping was fast, and the club was very well protected in it's box.

My only criticism is that the full sized mace doesn't have a pommel like the club does; I've used maces with and without, and really prefer the pommel. It makes the grip much more secure, and allows me to do non-mace leverage exercises comfortably. If the mace had a pommel, I'd have bought them both together. As is, I'm waiting for HoH to hopefully either offer a mace model with a pommel, or for another company to step in and fill this void in the market.

Full Review:
I follow Mark Wildman on YouTube, and after training for about 1 year with kettlebells, I was looking for Heavy Club and Mace options. While the ADEX series is of high quality, it is also proprietary and expensive. When exploring other alternatives, I found House of Hercules through members' recommendations. The fact that it uses a standard, and non-proprietary weight solution, made it immediately a winner.

The price is HIGHLY competitive, at almost half of the overall price compared to other adjustable solutions, and far less that individual options. After receiving the 2 Adjustable Heavy Clubs and 1 Adjustable Mace (along with some weights), I can say that the quality far surpasses most traditional and mass manufactured options you find online (such as Yes4All and Retrospec, which are common Amazon offerings).

For the Heavy Club, the handle is adequately thick, and the knurling is right on. The ball on the end aids heavily during 1 handed exercises, and helps resist movement as you go up in weight.

The shipping of them was done with care and ensured they arrived unscathed. They are wrapped in 2 layers of bubble wrap, one that is thinner for good surface area, and another larger bubble wrap to ensure the box is full to prevent movement or outer box damages during handling. I live in the USA and this had to go through multiple carries and customs, all with no issue. Just be careful cutting off the packing tape for the smaller bubble wrap as to not damage or scratch the finish.

The adjustable nature of these Heavy Clubs takes them to a whole other level. The fact that they use standard 2' Olympic weight sizes, makes it very easy to interface with, and made getting fractional plates (such as 0.25, 0.50, 0.25, 1.00 lbs) easy and affordable. The system uses two high-quality rubber and plastic barbell clips that ensure the weights have zero movement during exercises.

In the end, the weight limit on these is plenty high for myself, as I am not a body builder or competitive lifter. Some other options offer insanely high weight options, but as a dad, in his 30s, trying to stay in shape, these products make everything easier and affordable. Thank you House of Hercules team.
